Mount Romance at the IGA Perth Royal Show

This year’s IGA Perth Royal show will highlight Albany as the Guest Town 2011, featuring the Experience Albany Pavilion, and no Albany experience would be complete without including Mount Romance.

For something different watch science in action with our live distillation. With just a little hissing and bubbling we’ll produce Sandalwood oil as you watch, worth more than $1,000 per kilo!

Jon Eatt from our Research and Development Team will be on-site on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd of October to share information with visitors. “It’s really exciting to be at the show this year, and to give everyone a little glimpse into how we process this incredible ingredient, Sandalwood,” Jon says. “I look forward to talking to people about our state of the art distillation processes and how Mount Romance has gained worldwide recognition as a sustainable supplier of organic Sandalwood oil.”

Then for those wanting a truly unique and relaxing experience, this is the perfect opportunity to try (or revisit!) the World renowned ‘The Cone, the Gong and the Bowl’. Based in Albany, this treatment has been bringing deep relaxation to visitors for over ten years, with people coming back again and again to experience the benefit. Recreated for this year’s show, a huge tepee (‘the cone’) will form part of our display. Inside you will relax to the harmonious resonating of the ‘gong’ whilst breathing the soothing aroma of sandalwood from ‘the bowl’. Be guided by a ‘Gong Master’ and see what your personal experience brings you.
