We believe Sandalwood is a special tree. In addition to conservation efforts we aim to use all of the Sandalwood tree, so we’ve created the following products using a variety of parts: 

NEW Indian Sandalwood (Santalum album) oil

Parent company TFS Corporation has approximately 6,500 hectares of Indian Sandalwood (Santalum album) trees established in the tropical north of Australia. 

Mount Romance is now proud to stock Indian Sandalwood oil from sustainable, plantation-grown trees. The oil offers the rich wood and milky notes of Sandalwood from India, and the highest alpha and beta Santalols.  Ideal for fragrance, cosmetics, attars and aromatherapy.

Double Distilled - Pure Australian Sandalwood (Santalum spicatum) oil

Steam-distillation followed by advanced processing has produced an essential oil with a more softer, rounded odour profile, reminiscent of Indian Sandalwood oil. Ideal for fragrance, cosmetics, attars and aromatherapy.

Light Fraction Pure Australian Sandalwood Oil (Terpenes)

Light fractions (terpenes) from the pure Australian Sandalwood oil. Excellent for attar production. Offers notes of coconut, spice and wood.

A selection resin products

Extracted from the spent charge of Sandalwood our resins are ideal for incense, household and body products.

Recharge

Processed natural Sandalwood chip made from spent charge (remaining wood following oil extraction). Recharge offers a subtle fragrance, pale wood colour and white-blue smoke on burning. An ideal ingredient for incense manufacture.
